Cynthia Shrewsberry is a life-long animal lover. She was raised in Wyoming, Texas, and Louisiana with a family of animal lovers and pets of many kinds-dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, fish, and even a bird! She loves to read books. When she was growing up her favorite books included Harry the Dirty Dog, Angus and the Ducks, A Zoo for Mr. Muster, and Charlotte's Web.
Cynthia has worked as a teacher and currently works as a Marriage and Family Therapist/Licensed Professional Counselor where she helps people with their problems. And now, she is an author! She was inspired to write this book, her first book, after she met some real beluga whales! She fell in love with the whales and hopes you will too!
Cynthia currently lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana with her husband, Keith, and their four dogs. Her son, Kevin, is currently studying to be a Veterinarian at LSU Veterinary School. Her free time is spent with family, writing children's books, traveling to places to meet new kinds of animals, doing missions work in Ecuador, and spending time with friends. In the future she hopes to write more children's books and have her own farm - a Charlotte's Web farm!
