Author Summary - Elizabeth Scollo was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. She moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2013. She and her husband have two beautiful children-a son, Nakoa, and a daughter, Dakota. They also have four rescue dogs. Scollo works for Villalobos Rescue Center, placing dogs who need a second chance with loving families. Her goal is to help people, especially young children, understand the importance of adoption, compassion, and helping animals in need.

Illustrators Summary - Alexandra (Alex) Spears was born and raised in southwest Louisiana. She graduated with
honors from McNeese State University, receiving a BA in printmaking and graphic design with an emphasis in illustration. During her time in college, Alex's artwork
was featured in many gallery exhibitions. She has also received three SWLA Advertisement Awards for her book cover designs. Alex spends her time designing commercials for local businesses, working at her local veterinary hospital, and illustrating children's books.
