Lydia Crochet lives in Lake Charles, LA with her husband, Ray, and rescue dog, Jeanie. After working many years in the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office, Lydia now spends her time free lance writing for a local magazine and visiting hospitals, libraries and special events with Jeanie, who is a certified therapy dog. She's a member of the Southwest Louisiana Children's Book Writers' and Illustrators' Guild and the Dr Dogs Pet Therapy Team. She loves traveling, reading and spending time with her family, including her daughter, Andee, and son-in-law, Justin. Lydia and her family are passionate about supporting animal welfare and rescue operations.
